With the maverick virus run amok through the earth, it's up to X and his fellow reploids to clean it up and make it inhabitable for their human counterparts.

| It's been 3 weeks since the colony incident. Zero, while trying to save the Earth, gave his own life to protect it. Now the Earth is a barren wasteland, unsuitable for mankind to prosper. Reploids have now begun to help restore the planet, while the humans wait underground. Meanwhile, X receives a message from Alia, warning him of a large rampaging reploid. The game then begins with X heading into the battlefield. |
Game Features:
-The Nightmare System
A new function in the game, where the player's every move changes other stages. New enemies, paths, and secrets will be accessible through these changes.
-Random Stage System
Stages will change every time it is played, as well as enemies and bosses. Also, expect the return of 5 bosses from past MM games.
-Reploid System
By rescueing reploids throughout stages, such as in x5, you will earn power-ups. Different reploids rescued will result in different power-ups obtained. However, there are numerous reploids to rescue, making the challenge larger. |
